Wood is seeking a skilled and motivated OGI (Optical Gas Imaging) FLIR Camera Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating FLIR (Forward-Looking Infrared) cameras for the purpose of detecting and visualizing gas leaks in industrial settings. The OGI FLIR Camera Operator will play a critical role in our efforts to enhance safety, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency for our clients.   Location: Kenedy, TX Schedule: Mon-Friday; Full time 40hrs a week; This is a locally based schedule that permits returning home every night, there are no provisions for man-camps or housing per diem. Ensure proper camera settings, focus, and alignment to achieve accurate and reliable results. - Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze collected infrared data to identify and assess potential gas leaks, emissions, or abnormalities. Collaborate with team members to determine the severity and significance of identified issues. - Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the location, severity, and nature of gas leaks or anomalies detected during inspections. Clearly communicate findings to clients and internal stakeholders, including recommendations for remediation. - Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of FLIR cameras to ensure optimal performance and accuracy. Troubleshoot and address minor technical issues as they arise. - Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating in potentially hazardous industrial environments. Maintain a strong commitment to safety for both yourself and your team members. - Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, camera settings, and calibration records. Keep detailed logs to track inspection history and support compliance requirements. - Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to coordinate inspection schedules, prioritize tasks, and provide valuable insights to improve inspection processes. - Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in FLIR technology, and best practices related to gas leak detection and infrared imaging.
